Overview
The company is based in Consett, County Durham and specialises in the reverse engineering of rotating equipment. We service and repair all variety of pumps to blue chip customers in the UK and abroad; from multi-stage, high pressure units to small, over-hung end suction pumps. Due to considerable growth, we now require a labourer to join our busy service department.
Job Summary
The Labourer reports directly to the Service Shop Manager and is responsible for the cleanliness and general duties within the workshops and outside yard areas and the facility in general. A forklift truck licence would be a benefit but not essential as training would be provided for the successful applicant if required. A full, clean UK driving license is essential for the role. Other duties would include assistance in disassembling/assembling equipment, painting, cleaning, packing, assistance with operational tasks at times of high demand. This is not an exhaustive list and any other reasonable tasks would be expected from time to time.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the stripping and assembly of mechanical parts.
- Cleaning of parts received by customers.
- Painting of finished items.
- Packing finished goods ready for delivery to customers.
- To maintain the condition of the workshop/outside yard areas to a high standard.
- Ad hoc driving duties.
- To ensure safe working practices are adhered to.
