As Doubtless Pet Care continues to grow, we are seeking a Solicitor/Senior Solicitor to join our Legal team.
The role will be at a level which would normally be suitable for individuals with a minimum of 3 years’ post qualification experience (for a Solicitor role) or 7 years’ post qualification experience (for a Senior Solicitor role) but we would welcome applications from any candidate who can demonstrate the essential skills and necessary competencies.
Reward & Benefits: We are offering a competitive salary (dependant on experience), 24 days holiday, plus your birthday as an additional day, life assurance, income protection, pension, private medical insurance, and a range of other employee benefits!
Location: We will consider remote or hybrid candidates. Remote and hybrid employees will be required to attend our London Paddington office approximately once every two months for team meetings, as well as meetings with partners and suppliers as required.
What you`ll get up to as our Solicitor/Senior Solicitor
As a key member of our in‑house legal team, you’ll play a central role in supporting the business with high‑quality commercial and regulatory advice. You’ll take ownership of drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements—from distribution and introducer contracts to IT, outsourcing and bespoke documentation for new projects. You’ll also ensure our legal and regulatory documents remain compliant and up to date, while championing good outcomes for retail customers through clear, customer‑focused decision‑making.
You’ll provide practical and commercially astute legal guidance across the Group on insurance‑related regulatory matters, strategic initiatives, and day‑to‑day queries. You’ll manage relationships with external counsel where needed and contribute to our Legal Watch process, helping us stay ahead of emerging legal and regulatory developments. With strong communication skills, you’ll translate complex legal issues into clear, actionable advice and support the resolution of disputes and claims. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact at the heart of a dynamic, regulated business.
If this sounds like the new challenge you are looking, we would love to hear from you!
