As Pinnacle Pet Group continues to grow, we are seeking a Senior Pricing Analyst to join the Actuarial Pricing team. You will support the delivery of pricing related projects to deadline and quality standards, directly influencing the future growth and profitability of the business. We are passionate about professional development and believe with the right attitude and ability anything can be taught. Our team of experienced pricing experts will prioritise supporting new joiners and providing any training that is needed.

Package: We are offering a salary of up to £50,000 per annum (depending on experience), 24 days holiday, plus your birthday as an additional day, life assurance, Private Health Cover and a range of other employee benefits!

What you'll get up to as our Senior Pricing Analyst:

  • Develop and enhance our risk pricing models for the UK and international business, using both GLM analysis and more advanced ML techniques.
  • Communicate results to the wider team and understand the impact of your work on final business decisions and results.
  • Monitor performance of expected loss ratios, risk mix index and pricing assumptions.
  • Support and challenge our pricing strategy.
  • Support in building the risk pricing infrastructure, processes and procedures that ensure transparency, clear documentation and accuracy of output.
  • Maintain knowledge of the wider pet insurance market and feed developments into the business.
  • Act to deliver good outcomes for retail customers whilst delivering a higher standard of customer care and enabling consumers to make effective decisions in their interests.

What we look for in you as a Senior Pricing Analyst:

  • Experienced in general insurance pricing.
  • Strong data and analytical skills, working with large volumes of complex data, using data analysis tools such as SAS, Python, R, SQL, Excel, VBA is desirable.
  • Experience of using Emblem & Radar ideal but not essential.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and business acumen. Sound theoretical and practical understanding of personal lines underwriting and pricing principles.
  • Great stakeholder management experience.
  • High degree of numerical ability.
