We're looking for a Digital Content Creator who loves animals and creating things in equal measure. You'll be the production engine of our marketing team: owning the content calendar, producing everything from short‑form video to static assets and email creative, and using AI tools as a natural part of how you work. You’ll have real ownership over what Pet Database (and our other brands!) look and sound like, and the freedom to bring your own ideas to life.
What You'll Be Doing
- Produce short‑form video content (Reels) end‑to‑end for Instagram, Facebook & TikTok: concept, filming, editing, and handoff.
- Be comfortable stepping in front of the camera yourself to create authentic, engaging content when needed.
- Create static assets like graphics, carousels, and feed posts by using tools like Canva, CapCut, or Figma.
- Stay on top of platform trends and adapt formats quickly to keep content feeling fresh and native.
- Produce creative assets for paid social campaigns on Google, Meta (and potentially TikTok), working from copy and briefs provided by the Brand Lead.
- Create email marketing assets such as headers, banners, and visual content.
- Test different formats, based on shared insights, and keep iterating to improve results.
Content Calendar & Planning
- Own and manage the content calendar week to week, building it from the campaign themes and brand pillars set by the Brand Lead each month.
- Take in community intelligence from the Community Manager, such as rescue stories, trending topics, audience reactions, and deliver finished, approved content ahead of agreed publishing deadlines.
AI‑Powered Production
- Use AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, generative image tools, editing assistants) as a core part of your workflow not as a shortcut, but as a superpower.
- Stay curious about what's emerging in AI content tools and bring new ideas to the team.
What We're Looking For
- Strong experience in content creation, social media, or digital marketing.
- A strong portfolio of short‑form video you've made yourself. Please share links or examples when you apply.
- Comfortable on camera and able to show up as an authentic face for the brand.
- Proficient with at least one editing tool (CapCut, InShot, Premiere, Final Cut) and one design tool (Canva, Figma, or similar).
- Experience creating assets for organic social, paid social, and email — you know what a good ad creative looks like.
- Genuinely comfortable using AI tools in your day‑to‑day creative work.
- A self‑starter who thrives with autonomy and doesn't need someone looking over their shoulder.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote or hybrid setup.
- A team player — willing to get stuck in and try things outside your job description.
- A real love of animals — you’ll be talking about them all day!
