What You'll Be Doing

  • Rescue & B2B Growth
    • Lead and own rescue organisation outreach and lead generation (via Facebook groups, DMs, email, and cold outreach) with a data-driven approach to how you prioritise and segment.
    • Manage rescue leads from first contact through to onboarding, working closely with ops and product.
    • Manage, implement, and monitor rescue growth initiatives end-to-end, including tracking pipeline progress and optimising what's working.
    • Assist with website updates and SEO optimisation for rescue partners to improve search rankings and user experience.
  • Social Management
    • Own the daily management of Pet Database's (and other brands') across Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok: responding to comments, DMs, messages, and reviews promptly and in our brand voice.
    • Build and manage our presence in Facebook rescue groups and local community groups, helping us reach rescue organisations at scale.
    • Post reactive stories throughout the day (events, community moments, influencer reshares, rescue stories) to keep the brand feeling alive and present.
    • Be the team's ear to the ground: you talk to more pet owners, creators, and rescue workers than anyone else on the team, and that insight should shape what we make.
    • Explore building a presence on Reddit down the line - a bonus if you have experience there.
  • Influencer Marketing
    • Identify, approach, and manage relationships with pet and lifestyle influencers across Instagram & TikTok.
    • Negotiate and manage gifting, affiliate partnerships, and paid collaboration agreements, working within budget and brand guidelines set by the Brand Lead.
    • Brief influencers clearly and ensure content aligns with our brand voice, campaign goals, and platform best practices.
    • Track influencer campaign performance (reach, engagement, signups driven) and report back with clear insights on what's working.
  • Events & Real-World Community
    • Represent Pet Database at relevant events around London and beyond (dog shows, rescue fundraisers, local animal welfare events) to grow the brand and bring in new partners.
    • Come up with fresh ideas to engage our community IRL, beyond what we do on social media.
    • Work closely with our Digital Content Creator so the best community moments make it into our content.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong experience in community management, social media, partnerships, or a closely related role.
  • Demonstrable experience managing online communities or customer service online (Facebook groups, Instagram, Reddit, or similar) with real engagement growth to show for it.
  • Comfortable with outreach and relationship-building at scale, from cold DMs to longer-term partner comms.
  • Strong written communication skills, as you'll be representing the brand in hundreds of conversations every week.
  • Organised and data-aware: you'll manage a pipeline and track community KPIs.
  • A self-starter who uses their initiative to find new ways to attract customers and rescue partners, rather than waiting to be told what to do.
  • Happy to get out and about for events as part of the role.
  • A genuine passion for animal welfare.

What You'll Get

  • A chance to make a real difference for pet owners and animal welfare across the UK.
  • Competitive salary of £35,000.
  • Discounted Smart Pet Tags and pet insurance.
  • The opportunity to work on meaningful projects with rescue charities and shelters.
  • Exposure to every part of the business (ops, product, partnerships) in a small, close-knit team.
  • Hybrid working from London.
