This is an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst to join a strong team of Business Analysts in a period of significant change and growth for the organisation with significant focus on partner onboarding and large-scale customer data migrations. In your role, you will apply best practice business analysis techniques and work with stakeholders across the business and IT in order to document requirements to a level that enables effective development and testing of agreed changes.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Facilitate scoping and business priority-setting for change initiatives of varying size and complexity
- Select the most appropriate means of representing business requirements in the context of a specific change initiative, ensuring traceability back to source
- Discover and analyse requirements for fitness for purpose as well as adhering to business objectives and consistency, challenging positively as appropriate
- Obtain formal agreement of scope and requirements from stakeholders and establish a baseline on which delivery of a solution can commence
- Use industry standard modelling and analysis tools, giving special consideration to system impact
- Manage requests for changes to base-lined requirements. To estimate the effort for changes to this baseline and identify the impact requirements of scenarios as well as the required end position
- Ensure clear communication of requirements to both technical and business audiences
- Working closely with development teams to document technical requirements and solutions
- Working on Data Migration Projects will be a key aspect of this role:
- Work with clients and internal teams to create the schema required for large scale customer data migration including data mapping
- Writing SQL queries, understanding data, mining and applying rules. Validating data and the data rules we are being told/given
- Using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
What We’re Looking For
- An experienced Business Analyst
- Financial Services or Insurance experience would be desirable
- Strong workshop facilitation skills
- Confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent customer‑facing and analytical skills to gather requirements and process details from users and partners
- Experience working on large‑scale data migrations (ideally customer data)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with both Waterfall and Agile delivery methods
- Essential experience in customer data migration
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities
- Hands‑on experience using JIRA for requirements, testing, defect management, and reporting
- Good understanding of Azure DevOps structure and configuration
- Solid understanding of technical solutions
