Pinnacle Pet UK(PPUK) is a UK based, fully integrated pet insurer and pet health services provider. We are one of Europe’s largest pet insurance and services organisations, with over 1,400 colleagues supporting over 2 million pets in 8 countries.
The Claims Test Analyst will ensure the accuracy, functionality, and efficiency of insurance claims systems by designing, executing, and documenting test cases. This role focuses on validating system changes, identifying defects, and ensuring compliance with business requirements and regulatory standards. The role involves collaborating with development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions tailored to the needs of the pet insurance industry.
Location: Remote or hybrid.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases based on business requirements and technical specifications.
- Identify test scenarios for functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Execute manual tests for claims processes, systems, and workflows.
- Validate that system changes meet quality standards and align with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with developers and analysts to diagnose and resolve defects.
- Log, track, and report defects in a clear and concise manner.
- Verify fixes and perform re-tests as needed.
- Identify areas for improvement in claims processes and systems.
- Recommend enhancements to test strategies, tools, and frameworks.
- Work closely with claims specialists, product owners, and IT teams to understand business needs.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to discuss requirements, solutions, and testing progress.
- Maintain accurate test documentation, including test plans, test scripts, and test reports.
- Provide testing metrics and insights to stakeholders.
Successful Candidates Will Have
- Experience in software testing.
- Hands-on experience with claims systems testing is highly desirable.
- Nice to have: previous experience in financial services, insurance claims, insurance flows, or pet insurance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and an open-minded approach to learning new things.
- Ability to lead, work independently, communicate, and liaise with different stakeholders to push the testing effort forward.
- Full understanding of a variety of test analysis techniques and their implementation.
- Good hands-on experience in creation and execution of test scripts.
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of systems and structures within business units.
- Nice to have: Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
- Nice to have: ISTQB or other relevant certification.
