Role Overview
This role primarily manages the production of actuarial deliverables for the company\’s Solvency II processes (Pillars I, II, and III), under supervision, collaborating with other functions such as Finance and Risk. It also involves supporting operational and business transformation projects and ad-hoc actuarial studies.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the production of actuarial deliverables for Solvency II submissions, including liabilities, risk margin, underwriting risk SCR, reporting templates, and disclosures.
- Contribute to the ORSA process, including capital assessment, stress testing, and standard formula adequacy assessment.
- Maintain and improve the company\’s governance framework related to actuarial processes.
- Guide and review work of analyst resources within the team.
- Provide actuarial support to internal functions and external stakeholders on Solvency II matters.
- Help transform the team operating model by improving processes, automation, and tools.
- Support statutory accounts and budget forecasts with ad-hoc actuarial input.
- Participate in upskilling the team.
- Ensure good outcomes for retail customers and high standards of customer care.
Candidate Profile
- Actuarial or insurance background (education or professional)
- Experience with Solvency II (general, Standard Formula), knowledge of best practices
- Strong analytical, statistical skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize, and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Solvency II experience, including Pillar I: USP or Internal Model, and Pillar II: ORSA
- Industry experience in Pet or P&C insurance
- Proficiency in database/programming tools (SQL, Python, Power Query)
