Pinnacle Group are looking for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our Total FM division, working across 7 schools in Swindon to deliver planned preventative maintenance and responsive remedial works to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient building services.
In this role you will be responsible for a range of plumbing and HVAC-related tasks, supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of educational environments and maintaining high standards of safety and service delivery.
You will be joining our Total FM team based in Swindon.
The Total FM team provides integrated asset management and maintenance services across the education, leisure, corporate, health and living sectors to ensure facilities operate at their best.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced and self motivated mechanical engineer with strong knowledge of water systems, HVAC maintenance, and statutory safety checks, able to work independently across multiple school sites while delivering a high standard of service.
This is a full-time role with an alternating shift pattern of 7AM-3PM and 12PM-8PM.

Key responsibilities
- Heating system including pumps , AHU`s , extracts and heat exchangers
- Supervising contractors to ensure they are following safe systems of work
- Plumbing repairs
- Minor electrical work
• Completing all preventative planned maintenance checks
- Heating System checks
- Air handling system maintenance
- Unvented hot water heaters servicing
- Plant room checks
- Communal lighting checks
- Undertaking building audits
- Completing all regular safety checks
Key requirements
- Experience and knowledge of building services and facilities engineering.
- Unvented hot water ticket
- L8 Level 2 certification
- Plumbing skills
- IPAF and PASMA
- Good health & safety knowledge
- Resourceful and self-motivated
- Able to work as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Strong organisational skills
