Pinnacle Group is looking for an experienced Contract Manager to join our Soft Facilities Management division, overseeing a multi-site grounds maintenance contract across South London and Wembley. The role includes leading recruitment and training, managing team performance, overseeing budgets and ensuring full compliance with health and safety regulations. You will build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and tenants to drive service excellence and continuous improvement across the contract.
Our Soft Facilities Management division delivers essential services to homes, schools, universities and public sector organisations – including housing providers and blue light authorities. We focus on creating clean, safe, and welcoming environments with a commitment to quality, community impact and customer care.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance or arboriculture, with a strong track record of managing multiple contracts and operational teams. You will demonstrate strong commercial awareness, a proactive and solutions-focused mindset, excellent communication, client management skills, and a solid understanding of health and safety regulations and site compliance. A full UK driving licence is required.
This is a full-time, on-site position. Working hours are 7:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilities will include
- Managing the delivery of landscaping and grounds maintenance services across a multi‑site portfolio, ensuring consistent quality and performance.
- Conducting regular site audits, inspections and risk assessments to maintain high operational and safety standards.
- Ensuring all services are delivered in line with contract specifications, KPIs and site‑specific health & safety requirements.
- Leading, motivating and developing on‑site teams, including recruitment, onboarding, training, rota planning and performance management.
- Providing day‑to‑day operational oversight and support to grounds maintenance teams to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Managing subcontractors, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, quality standards and safe working practices.
- Carrying out regular estate inspections and engaging with residents, housing officers and local stakeholders to address concerns and drive satisfaction.
- Monitoring and controlling contract budgets, supporting cost management and ensuring delivery within agreed financial targets.
- Ensuring full compliance with health, safety and environmental legislation, responding promptly to incidents and implementing corrective actions.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives, managing customer feedback, handling escalations and maintaining strong client relationships through clear and proactive communication.
Key requirements
- Proven experience within commercial landscaping, grounds maintenance, arboriculture or a similar sector.
- Demonstrated experience managing operational teams, including leading dispersed teams, supervising staff and delivering multiple contracts.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, including budget management and exposure to profit and loss accountability.
- Excellent communication, organisation and client management skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent knowledge of health & safety regulations and compliance standards, alongside competent IT skills (Microsoft Office) and a full UK driving licence.
- Horticultural or landscaping qualifications and IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent) are desirable.
