Pinnacle Group is seeking an experienced Grounds Operative. You will be joining our Leeds & Kirklees PFI Schools Team based from our Morley Depot - Leeds LS27 to ensure our outdoor spaces are well-maintained and visually appealing.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Mowing lawns, trimming hedges, planting, weeding, and general landscape upkeep of the contracted sites.
- Horticultural grounds maintenance duties e.g. grass cutting, clearing of debris, leaves, litter, hedge, shrub trimming, soil cultivation, digging, forking, mulching, watering and raking.
- Use of gardening equipment, powered hand tools, and ride-on machinery.
- Maintenance of vehicles and gardening machinery & tools are kept clean and damage-free, report to the manager when necessary.
- Gritting, salt spreading and snow clearing when required.
- Driving company vehicles and transporting plant, machinery and equipment.
This is a Full-Time position where you will be working 7am to 3pm, Monday to Friday. A Full UK Manual Driver's License is essential for this role.
Skills Required:
- Full UK Manual Driver's License.
- Experience in using gardening power tools.
- Ability to work to laid down schedules and in all weather conditions.
- Chemical and hand weed control (PA1PA6 are desirable but training can be provided).
- Knowledge of the use of chemicals (COSHH) and Health and Safety legislation is desirable.
The appointment of this role will be subject to the completion of a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure Barring Service Check (DBS) & work references.
