Pinnacle Group are looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our Total FM division, conducting maintenance, repairs, testing and inspection of school buildings, mechanical and gas services, associated systems, plant, and equipment in accordance with relevant standards and operational procedures and to participate in a rotating shift pattern and the out of hours on call rota. You will be joining our Total FM team based in Exeter. The Total FM team provides integrated asset management and maintenance services across the education, leisure, corporate, health and living sectors to ensure facilities operate at their best.
The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge, confidence in carrying out PPM tasks, plumbing repairs, and HVAC maintenance, while reliably performing safety checks across fire systems and emergency equipment, using CAFM systems effectively, and communicating professionally with school staff, site managers, and FM teams. This is a full time role with a weekly rotating shift pattern of 6AM-2PM and 10AM-6PM, Monday-Friday.
Key responsibilities:
- Carry out planned maintenance in line with the PPM schedule and complete service reports as required.
- Carry out installation work involved in minor upgrading and adaptation works.
- Assist other skilled trades in carrying out maintenance, repairs, testing, inspection, and installation work.
- Where instructed, carry out minor repairs to the building fabric to ensure the safety and security of the premises.
- Collaborate and co-operate with partners and colleagues to deliver a customer focused service.
- Work closely with the Helpdesk to ensure jobs raised on the CAFM system are closed correctly.
Key requirements:
- Recognised Mechanical Engineering qualification, such as: NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds.
