Pinnacle Group are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to maintain, service and repair a wide range of the building services. In this role you will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, and compliance tasks across a patch of schools in Clacton-on-Sea, helping to create a safe and supportive setting for students and staff alike.
You will be joining our Total FM team based in Clacton-on-Sea. The Total FM team provides integrated asset management and maintenance services across the education, leisure, corporate, health and living sectors to ensure facilities operate at their best.
This is a full-time position with shift patterns of 8AM-4.30PM Monday-Friday.
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who, alongside the key criteria below, will sign up to our values of Trust, Respect, Involve, Challenge and Deliver Excellence and will be determined to maintain the confidence of our clients and communities.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out periodic inspection and testing and completing of the necessary test certification in accordance with IEE Wiring Regulations. Also to complete other electrical certification where required.
- Develop and introduce a schedule of critical spares required to ensure the timely completion of any reactive or planned tasks.
- Work closely with the team to produce and implement the delivery of a 52 week planner necessary to complete works to ensure full statutory compliance on both contracts.
- Ensure Pinnacle's delivery of Hard FM services is delivered safely in accordance with Health and Safety best practice and compliant with all legislative requirements and relevant engineering standards.
- Obtain, where requested, customer feedback on completion of repair and new installation works.
Key requirements
- 18th edition required.
- City & Guilds 2392 Testing and Inspection qualification required.
- To work collaboratively with site staff, contractors, and the wider FM team.
- Strong knowledge of H&S regulations, risk assessments, and safe working practices.
- Proven experience in electrical maintenance within commercial or public sector buildings, ideally in a school or PFI environment.
- Understanding of PFI contract obligations, KPIs, and statutory compliance requirements.
- Willingness to undergo or already possess a valid enhanced DBS clearance due to the school setting.
