Pinnacle Group are looking for an experienced Caretaker to ensure our buildings and facilities are well-maintained, secure, fully functional and Health & Safety compliant. You will be joining our Facilities Management team based at Craylands Primary School.
Your responsibilities will include performing routine maintenance, managing repairs, ensuring security protocols are followed and keeping the premises clean and orderly. You will need to be proactive, detail-oriented, and have excellent problem-solving skills. Responsibilities:
- Ensure security integrity of the school buildings and grounds through locking and unlocking, patrols, monitoring.
- Conduct defined Planned Preventative Maintenance responsibilities in accordance with each school\’s schedule and individual\’s skills.
- Provide access, escort, and liaise with service providers to undertake remedial work or Planned Preventive Maintenance where appropriate.
- Conduct minor repairs and decoration works.
- Respond to emergency situations such as floods, bodily fluids and effecting temporary or permanent rectification in accordance with prescribed procedures and timescales.
- Check BMS, boilers, hot water functioning, pest inspections, drains, gullies for blockages and plant rooms.
- Perform day-to-day duties such as litter picking, bin emptying, sweeping, and refreshing toilets.
Candidate Profile:
- General handyperson skills such as DIY, minor plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work.
- Good customer service skills.
- Amenable and approachable personality.
- Ability to liaise with and assist external service providers.
- Ability to work in a team.

Position Details:
This is a part-time permanent position, working 13 hours per week: Wednesdays 2PM-7PM and Fridays 7AM-3PM. Hours during school holidays may be flexible.
