Pinnacle Group are looking for an experienced Projects and Governance Officer to support the delivery of internal projects while strengthening governance, compliance, and assurance across the business. This role offers a broad and varied remit spanning project coordination, audit and regulatory support, policy and risk management and the administration of governance and compliance platforms. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team across data, procurement, environmental, social and governance and quality, ensuring projects are well controlled, reporting is accurate and governance processes are robust and audit ready within a regulated environment.
Our Projects & Governance Team supports strategic delivery and operational excellence across the business. They lead key initiatives, ensure strong governance and help drive continuous improvement – all aligned with our mission to Transform Communities and Change Lives.
The ideal candidate will be organised, proactive, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a regulated environment. They will have strong communication and report‑writing skills, be confident working with stakeholders, and bring a high level of accuracy and discretion. Experience within housing or a similar regulated sector would be advantageous. This is a hybrid role with travel to our Holborn office.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Support the planning, coordination, and monitoring of internal projects, ensuring milestones, risks, actions, and dependencies are tracked and reported.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date project documentation, including dashboards and status updates.
- Assist project leads with meeting coordination, agendas, minutes, and tracking follow‑up actions, including for governance forums and committees.
- Promote consistency and best practice across project management approaches, templates, and controls.
- Support audit activity, reviews, and assurance exercises, ensuring actions are tracked through to completion.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and external regulatory requirements.
- Support the operation of governance frameworks, maintaining records, registers, and document libraries with clear audit trails and version control.
- Administer governance and compliance systems, ensuring data is accurate, accessible, and kept up to date.
- Prepare and maintain reports, dashboards, and management information, ensuring accurate data collection and timely reporting.
- Act as a key point of contact for project and governance queries, supporting stakeholder communication and identifying opportunities to improve processes and ways of working.
Key requirements:
- Experience supporting projects, programmes, or governance processes within a corporate or regulated services environment, including exposure to audit, compliance, or regulatory activity (desirable).
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain a proactive, dependable approach to work.
- Proven experience producing high‑quality documentation, including reports, agendas, minutes, and governance materials, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good understanding of governance, risk, and assurance principles, along with strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Confident user of Microsoft 365 (including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint).
- Professional and discreet, able to work confidently with senior stakeholders, support board or committee processes and handle sensitive information appropriately while maintaining a collaborative approach.
