Overview
Pinnacle Group are looking for an experienced Caretaker to ensure our buildings and facilities are well-maintained, secure, fully functional and Health & Safety compliant.
You will be joining our Facilities Management team based at schools in Exeter. Your responsibilities will include performing routine maintenance, managing repairs, ensuring security protocols are followed and keeping the premises clean and orderly. You will need to be proactive, detail-oriented, and have excellent problem-solving skills. This is a full time role with an alternating shift pattern of 6AM-2PM and 10AM-6PM, Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilities
- Ensure security integrity of the school buildings and grounds through locking and unlocking, patrols, monitoring.
- Conduct defined Planned Preventative Maintenance responsibilities in accordance with each school\’s schedule and individual\’s skills.
- Where appropriate provide access, escort and liaise with service providers to undertake remedial work or Planned Prevented Maintenance.
- Conduct minor repairs and decoration works
- Respond to emergency situations such as floods, bodily fluids and effecting temporary or permanent rectification in accordance with prescribed procedures and timescales.
- Checks of BMS, boilers, hot water functioning, pest inspections, drains, gullies for blockages and plant rooms
- Conduct day-to -day duties according to daily schedule, i.e., littler picking, Bin emptying, sweeping, refreshing toilets.
Key Requirements
- Range of general handyperson skills such as general DIY skills, minor plumbing, carpentry and electrical
