About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated FFE Design Consultant to take ownership of FFE Consultancy projects, through RIBA stage 2-4. This role is responsible for ensuring seamless delivery while maintaining design integrity and client satisfaction, driving innovative yet commercially viable furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) design.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design projects independently, through RIBA stage 2-4.
- Oversee project design, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Lead client meetings and ensure collaborative engagement with the end-user and provide confidence to the contractor.
- Lead ISO 19650 standards such as overseeing compliance with BEP, DEIRs and productions of TIDPs etc.
- Provide guidance and support to junior designers on assigned projects.
- Maintain commercial awareness, making informed design decisions based on cost implications.
- Ensure efficient project delivery within the agreed consultancy fee structure.
- Proactively manage project communications, ensuring clients remain informed and engaged.
- Manage resource allocation on projects and oversee project plans.
- Ensure compliance with design standards and client requirements.

Essential Skills and Experience:
- Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related discipline
- Strong experience in FFE design for educational or commercial environments
- Experience of Department for Education frameworks and process
- Desirable experience in ALN/SEND/ASN design
- Proven ability to manage and lead design projects independently
- Familiarity with FFE design compliance standards and project coordination
- Confident communicator with excellent presentation skills
- Organised, detail-oriented, and proactive problem-solver
