We’re working with one of the UK’s most respected independent insurance brokerages to find an ambitious, experienced Account Executive to join their growing commercial team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a consultative sales environment, enjoys solving complex client problems, and wants to be part of a team that values trust, independence, and collaboration.
About the Opportunity
This business is known for doing things the right way — building long-term client relationships, offering tailored risk solutions, and creating an internal culture that empowers people to do their best work. You’ll be part of a tight-knit team of 6 Account Executives, supported by a dedicated internal claims function and a collaborative, open leadership style. The office is based in Warwickshire, and the role offers a hybrid working model.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing and growing a portfolio of commercial insurance clients
- Identifying and converting new business opportunities
- Leading client meetings, providing tailored advice and strategic support
- Collaborating with underwriters and insurers to secure competitive terms
- Conducting risk reviews and renewal consultations
- Ensuring full compliance with FCA and Consumer Duty guidelines
- Supporting a seamless, end-to-end client experience alongside Account Handlers
- Contributing to internal best practice and knowledge sharing
What You’ll Bring
- Strong experience in commercial insurance broking or client management
- Confidence dealing with complex or high-value risks
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- A proactive, client-first attitude and a commercial mindset
- Ability to self-manage and deliver in a hybrid working model
- FCA compliance knowledge and familiarity with insurance systems (Acturis a bonus)
- ACII qualification or willingness to work towards it (supported)
