The Travel Security Risk Manager, assigned to one of Pinkerton’s largest global clients, will ensure global travel safety by overseeing security operations, implementing risk management strategies, and leveraging AI for enhanced monitoring and response.
The role includes updating security protocols, managing traveler tracking systems, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
As a key liaison, the Manager fosters stakeholder collaboration, enhances traveler experiences, and drives continuous improvement through strategic communication and training.
Responsibilities
- Represent Pinkerton’s core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
- Oversee the operational effectiveness of the travel security program and support the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the client's global Travel Risk Management (TRM) program in the EMEA region.
- Efficiently design project plans to support the client’s physical security objectives, collaborating with stakeholders globally to ensure alignment with security goals.
- Conduct regular reviews of existing travel security protocols, updating them in response to new threats or changes in the operating environment, and design and deliver training programs focusing on risk awareness and response strategies during travel.
- Implement systems for tracking traveler itineraries to ensure quick emergency response capabilities, while monitoring global traveler activity and providing appropriate support before, during, and after travel.
- Utilize AI, automation, and predictive analytics to enhance traveler monitoring, risk assessments, incident response, and operational efficiency, analyzing travel risk data and operational metrics to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and regulatory obligations related to travel security, providing tailored travel risk assessments and actionable recommendations for travelers and business leaders.
- Lead the development of comprehensive emergency response plans and procedures, supporting incident response, crisis management, emergency planning, and traveler communications during disruptive events.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the client, supplier operations, GSOC, security teams, and key stakeholders in EMEA, facilitating stakeholder engagement and strategic communications.
- Conduct operational reviews, quality assurance activities, and customer experience assessments to optimize service delivery and drive the adoption of AI-enabled capabilities across service provider travel data, communications, and workflows.
- Support training, onboarding, and user enablement for GSOC operators, travel platform users, and stakeholders.
- Present complex information clearly to senior management and stakeholders, constructing workflows, diagrams, content, and presentations.
- Combine operational excellence with AI-focused innovation to continuously improve security outcomes, traveler experience, and program effectiveness.
- All other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with at least three years of relevant experience in travel risk, security operations, or global risk management.
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job will also be considered, as determined by the company.
- Knowledge of geopolitical issues, global security principles, and travel safety practices.
- Knowledge of security platforms such as Everbridge, preferable.
- Emergency response planning, business continuity, and incident management skills.
- Able to work directly with internal clients and clearly articulate business drivers, business requirements, and technology functional requirements.
- Effective written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously with competing priorities and deadlines.
- Analytical and problem resolution skills.
- Able to interact collaboratively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
