Our client is looking for a Human Resources professional to manage the day-to-day HR of a busy and vibrant Primary School. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone with HR experience within a school environment to develop further or for a qualified HR professional to make their mark.

- Salary: NJC Grade -8 (actual pay - Β£28427.40-30882.60)
- Contract Type: Temp to Perm
- Working Pattern: 37 hrs a week, Term Time plus Inset and 2 weeks holiday working.
- Location: Worthing
- Closing date: 9am 22nd September 2025

What You Need to Succeed
- You will oversee the daily cover in response to daily staff absence and manage the staff absence procedure, ensuring all absence is recorded, monitored, and reported.
- Following up absence calls daily and undertaking informal absence meetings and return to work interviews.
- Your effective communication and interpersonal skills are required to build effective working relationships with supply agencies, senior stakeholders and school staff alike.
- Managing the recruitment process you will have an eye for detail ensuring all aspects of safer recruitment are followed.
- Ensuring all staff undertake and complete their induction training and that the probations period is monitored effectively.
- You will have excellent IT skills with experience of working on Management information systems and databases such as Bromcom.
- Excellent literacy skills are essential.
- You will have the ability to work on your own initiative, be extremely well organised and must be able to maintain accurate records both electronically and in paper format.
- You will work term time plus inset days and 2 weeks during the summer holiday period.
- Working knowledge and understanding of employment law would be of benefit in this role.
