We are working with a well-established specialist provision in the Waterlooville area that is looking to appoint a PMLD Support Assistant on a full-time basis, starting as soon as possible. This setting supports children and young people aged 3–19 years with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), alongside complex medical and sensory needs. The school provides a highly supportive, nurturing environment with excellent staff-to-pupil ratios and a strong focus on personalised care and development. This is a rewarding and hands-on role where you will play a key part in supporting pupils with both their learning and daily care needs.
The role will involve:
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and within small groups
- Assisting with communication, sensory activities and engagement
- Supporting students with complex needs, including physical and medical requirements
- Providing personal care, including toileting and hygiene support
- Working closely with teachers, therapists and support staff
No two days are the same, and you will be part of a team that works collaboratively to ensure every pupil is supported to reach their full potential.
