Teaching Assistant

A primary school in Bognor is seeking a Learning Support Assistant with robust, hands-on SEN experience to join their team from January. This is not a role for someone looking to gain initial exposure; the school requires a candidate who can confidently draw upon significant prior experience supporting children with a range of additional needs. Whether gained in a school setting, care environment, or other areas working with vulnerable individuals, your background must demonstrate a strong understanding of how to effectively engage and support pupils requiring extra help.

The chosen candidate will assist children who face barriers to learning, adapting resources and teaching approaches to help them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. • Understanding of strategies to support children with varying needs, including difficulties with communication, social skills, or behaviour.

• A DBS check registered on the update service or willingness to obtain one.

• Relevant qualifications in SEN or child development are desirable but not essential.
