Pink Tile Education is supporting a secondary school in Brighton that is seeking a Teacher of Science to join their team from September, on a full-time, ongoing basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Science teacher to support teaching and learning within a dynamic secondary school environment, working across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Role Details
- Position: Teacher of Science - Second in charge
- Location: Brighton
- Start Date: September

- Key Stages: KS3 – KS4
Role Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering high-quality Science learning experiences
- Deliver targeted interventions to individuals and small groups to raise attainment and close learning gaps
- Support practical Science lessons, including preparation, setup, and safe use of laboratory equipment
- Ensure all practical work is carried out in line with health and safety procedures
- Adapt resources and approaches to meet the needs of different learners
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
- Support classroom behaviour management and contribute to a positive learning environment
- Encourage student engagement, curiosity, and enthusiasm for Science
- Assist with marking, assessment, and general departmental support as required
The Ideal Candidate Will
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – ESSENTIAL
- Have a strong background in Science education
- Be confident teaching and supporting KS3 and KS4 students
- Be enthusiastic, proactive, and committed to student progress
- Be able to build positive relationships with both students and staff
Requirements
- Must hold QTS (non-negotiable)
- DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Available to start in September
- Strong subject knowledge in Science
