We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our dynamic educational team. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to make a significant impact on the lives of our students, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, parents, and other staff members to provide high-quality support and enhance the learning experience for all students.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver learning activities to individuals, small groups, and whole classes under the direction of teaching staff.
- Provide specialized support for students with SEN, adapting teaching materials and strategies to meet their individual needs.
- Assess, record, and report on students' progress, achievement, and development.
- Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for SEN students.
- Monitor and manage student behavior, applying appropriate strategies to promote positive behavior and maintain a conducive learning environment.
- Provide cover for absent teachers, ensuring continuity of learning and adherence to lesson plans.
- Assist in the development and implementation of school policies and procedures.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
- Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to support students' well-being and academic progress.
- Supervise students during break times, lunch periods, and extracurricular activities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and interventions.

Qualifications and Skills
- HLTA status or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience working as an HLTA in a school setting.
