Job Title: Learning Support Assistant (SEMH School)

Location: Horsham, West Sussex

Salary: £102.68 per day

Hours: Full-time | Monday – Friday | 8:30am – 4:30pm (5pm finish on Thursdays)

Contract: Temp to Perm (Permanent after 12 working weeks)

Start Date: September 2025

Interviews: To be held after half-term

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? We are looking for dedicated Learning Support Assistants to join a beautiful SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in Horsham, supporting children and young people aged 6–18 years.

About The Role

• Supporting students with SEMH needs in both one-to-one and small group settings
• Helping pupils to build confidence, develop positive relationships, and increase their self-esteem
• Contributing to a calm, structured environment that fosters emotional and academic development
• Working closely with teaching staff to implement positive behaviour management strategies
• Assisting with the delivery of engaging, inclusive learning tailored to individual needs

What We’re Looking For

• Someone calm, patient, and nurturing with a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable children
• Experience in a similar setting is desirable, but not essential – full training and ongoing support will be provided
• Able to commit full-time, long-term with a view to becoming a permanent team member
• Willing to apply for a DBS on the update service (or already registered)
