Reset Room Manager (Maternity Cover)
Location: East Sussex
Contract: Fixed-term, 5th January 2026 – 31st May 2026
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (8:30am–4:30pm, including a 30‑minute unpaid break)
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated individual to join a school’s Pastoral Team in a temporary role. This position involves managing an internal inclusion space designed to support vulnerable and disaffected students, providing guidance, structure, and care to help them succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise the Ready Room, ensuring a calm, safe, and supportive environment.
- Support students individually or in small groups with behaviour management, self‑esteem, anger management, and peer relationships.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to monitor progress and facilitate reintegration into mainstream classrooms.
- Maintain accurate records of behaviour incidents and support the preparation of reports.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of internal inclusion provision.
- Undertake administrative duties to support the wider Pastoral Team as required.
Skills & Experience
- Experience working with young people.
- Confident, calm, and consistent approach to behaviour management.
- Flexible and adaptable to meet the varying needs of students.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships.
- Good standard of education, including written and verbal communication.
- Competent in using Microsoft Office and general IT systems.

- Caring, empathetic, and patient.
- Tactful, discreet, and diplomatic in communications.
- Self‑motivated and able to work independently while contributing to a team.
- Committed to supporting the wellbeing and success of children and young people.
