DT Teacher

About The Role

• This is a split role: approximately 70% Food Technology and 30% Design Technology.
• Deliver creative, engaging lessons that inspire students and develop practical skills.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality teaching to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 pupils.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment focused on achievement and personal growth.
• Collaborate with department staff to develop resources and share best practices.

Experience And Flexibility

• Experience is essential for this role. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred.
• However, if you have relevant experience in delivering Food Tech and DT in a school setting, we encourage you to apply.

Contract And Pay

• This role is available on a full-time basis, though part-time may be considered for the right candidate (full-time is preferred).
• Candidates with QTS will be paid on the Main Pay Scale (MPS) or Upper Pay Scale (UPS), dependent on experience.
• For those without QTS but with relevant experience, a competitive daily rate will be offered.

Essential Requirements

• Strong subject knowledge and teaching experience in Food Technology and Design Technology.
• Current Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
• Completed Safeguarding Training (within the last two years).
• Commitment to student progress and wellbeing.
