Pink Tile Education is working in partnership with a specialist SEMH provision in Basingstoke seeking an English Teacher to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who wants to do more than simply deliver lessons. The school supports young people who have experienced barriers to education and require a nurturing, trauma-informed approach to help them re-engage with learning and achieve success. With small class sizes, strong pastoral support and a genuinely child-centred approach, this setting allows teachers to focus on building relationships, developing confidence and making a lasting difference to students' lives.
The Role
- Deliver engaging and adaptive English lessons to Key Stage 3 learners
- Support students with SEMH needs, SEND and EHCPs
- Create a safe, structured and positive learning environment
- Build strong relationships that encourage engagement and attendance
- Monitor progress and contribute to reviews and target setting
- Work closely with pastoral, safeguarding and therapeutic teams
- Support students both academically and emotionally

- Holds QTS, QTLS or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Has experience teaching English at secondary level
- Understands the challenges faced by young people with SEMH needs
- Builds positive relationships and remains calm under pressure
- Is passionate about inclusion and helping students succeed
