Overview
Pink Tile Education is seeking a Youth Support Teaching Assistant for a school in Hastings. This role suits someone with a background in youth work, mentoring, coaching, care, behaviour support or education who wants to support children in school.
Responsibilities
- Help pupils with learning, behaviour, confidence, routines and emotional regulation.
- Support pupils who find school difficult, have gaps in learning, need positive adult relationships or require additional support with SEND or SEMH needs.
- Build trust, maintain boundaries and help pupils move forward in their learning and development.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience in schools, youth work, care, mentoring, sports coaching, behaviour support, SEND support or mental health support is useful.
- Candidate should be calm, resilient and encouraging, with the ability to be consistent and positive, especially on challenging days.
- All applicants will be subject to registration checks, including an enhanced DBS check, right to work checks, reference checks and safeguarding suitability checks.
