We are looking for a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant to join a specialist primary SEND school in Worthing, supporting children with a range of additional needs. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a nurturing and structured environment.
You will be working with primary-aged pupils who may present challenging behaviour, including both verbal and physical behaviours, so the school is looking for someone who is calm, patient and confident in their approach, with experience supporting children with additional needs.
The role will begin through Pink Tile, with opportunities for temp to perm positions for the right candidate. The school would like candidates to attend a trial day before the end of term.
The Role:- Supporting primary-aged pupils with SEND on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Assisting with classroom activities and structured learning routines
- Supporting communication, emotional regulation and social development
- Encouraging independence, confidence and engagement in learning
- Managing and responding to challenging behaviour in a calm and consistent way
- Working closely with teachers and the wider support team
- Location: Worthing
- Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
- Pay: £93.62 – £105 per day (depending on experience)
- Start: ASAP
- Trial Day: Required before the end of term
