A specialist school in Woodbridgeis seeking an experienced education professional to support pupils aged
11β17 with social, emotional and mental health needs. Pupils may also have additional needs including autism, ADHD and communication difficulties .
The Role
- Support and lead learning across KS3 and KS4.
- Take responsibility for lessons when required in the absence of the class teacher.
- Support pupils with SEMH and additional learning needs.
- Promote positive behaviour, engagement and emotional regulation.
- Contribute to pupil progress, EHCP targets and assessment.
- Work closely with teachers and the wider support team.
- The Ideal Candidate
- At least 2 years' HLTA experience , or suitable experience as an
Unqualified Teacher or Cover Supervisor .
- Experience working with
SEMH and/or SEND pupils .
- Confident leading lessons and managing behaviour.
- Calm, consistent and resilient.
- Excellent relationship-building skills.
- Passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning.
