Pink Tile Education are looking for an Autism and Communication Teaching Assistant for a school in Uckfield. This role would suit someone who is patient, observant and able to support children with communication, routines and sensory needs.

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with autism, speech and language needs, ADHD, sensory processing needs, anxiety or wider SEND.
  • Help pupils understand routines, access learning, manage transitions and feel included in the classroom.
  • Provide 1:1 support, small-group work and close support alongside the class teacher and SENCO.

  • Location: Uckfield
  • Pay: £14.25 to £16.40 per hour
  • Contract options: Temporary, permanent and temp-to-perm opportunities available
  • Start: As soon as possible or September

Qualifications

  • Calm, consistent and genuinely interested in SEND.
  • Experience with autism, speech and language support, care, childcare, schools, nurseries, youth work or tutoring would be useful.
