Pink Tile Education is supporting a secondary school in Crawley in their search for a motivated and enthusiastic STEM Graduate to join their team as a Trainee Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate looking to begin a career in education and gain hands‑on classroom experience while working towards a future teacher training pathway. This role is ideal for someone passionate about Science, Technology, Engineering, or Maths who is eager to inspire young people and develop into a confident classroom practitioner.

You will work closely with experienced teachers, gaining valuable experience across KS3 and KS4 while developing your teaching skills, behaviour management techniques, and subject delivery.

Role Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of STEM subjects across KS3 and KS4.
  • Assist teachers with planning, preparation, and classroom delivery.
  • Deliver pre‑planned lessons and small group interventions where appropriate.
  • Support students in developing confidence and engagement in STEM subjects.
  • Provide targeted support to students with varying abilities, including those with additional learning needs.
  • Help maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to develop effective classroom practice.
  • Observe experienced teachers to support your professional development.
  • Contribute to student progress tracking and feedback where required.
  • Uphold safeguarding procedures and school policies at all times.
Ideal Candidate
  • A recent graduate in a STEM‑related subject (Science, Maths, Engineering, Technology, or similar).
  • Passionate about pursuing a career in teaching and education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confident, proactive, and eager to learn.
  • Ability to engage and inspire young people.
  • Willingness to develop behaviour management and classroom leadership skills.
  • Must hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.

Visas cannot be sponsored. The pay stated is inclusive of the 12.07% PAYE holiday entitlement.
