Are you passionate about making a real difference in young people’s lives? We are looking for caring, resilient and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support pupils in small, nurturing SEMH classes. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with students who need additional emotional and behavioural support, helping them thrive both academically and personally. You don’t need to have worked in a school before. If you’ve supported children or adults in any setting—care work, youth work, coaching, hospitality, mental health support, or even as a parent—you may already have the skills we’re looking for.
About the Role
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging, tailored lessons
- Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
- Provide 1:1 and small group support
- Help manage behaviour in a calm, consistent and supportive way
- Encourage emotional regulation and social development
- Create a safe, nurturing learning environment
- Assist with daily routines and classroom organisation
