Overview
Pink Tile Education is recruiting a Pastoral Behaviour Teaching Assistant for a school in Hastings. This role suits someone who is calm, emotionally intelligent, and able to support pupils beyond just the academic side of school.
Responsibilities
- Help pupils with behaviour, wellbeing, friendships, emotional regulation, confidence, and school routines.
- Support pupils who are anxious, dysregulated, withdrawn, defiant, low in confidence, or struggling to access lessons.
- Listen, guide, redirect, and stay consistent.
- Maintain clear and safe boundaries while recognising that behaviour is often communication.
Suitable Candidates
- Pastoral support, youth work, care, mental health, family support, mentoring, SEND, SEMH or behaviour support background.
- Experience supporting children with emotional and behavioural challenges.
- Understanding of behaviour as a communication tool.

- Location: Hastings
- Pay: £14.25 to £16.40 per hour
- Contract options: Temporary, permanent, and temp‑to‑perm opportunities available
