The school provides a highly supportive and nurturing environment where students are encouraged to rebuild confidence, regulate emotions, and positively re-engage with education.

The successful candidate will be teaching Science across secondary age groups, delivering engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to meet a range of learning abilities and additional needs. This role would suit someone who understands that behaviour is often a form of communication and who can approach challenges with consistency, empathy, and resilience.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Be a qualified teacher or experienced unqualified teacher with strong Science knowledge
  • Have experience working with SEMH, SEND, behavioural needs, or vulnerable young people
  • Be confident managing challenging behaviour, including verbal dysregulation
  • Have a good understanding of mental health and trauma-informed practice
  • Be engaging, creative, and adaptable in their teaching approach
  • Be able to differentiate learning to meet a variety of needs and abilities
  • Be passionate about helping students rebuild confidence and enjoy learning again
  • Be resilient, proactive, and able to build positive professional relationships with students and staff

The Role:

  • Teaching Science to secondary-aged students
  • Planning and delivering engaging and accessible lessons
  • Supporting students both academically and emotionally
  • Encouraging positive engagement, confidence, and participation within lessons
  • Working closely with pastoral and therapeutic teams
  • Full-time role starting in September
  • Paid to scale depending on experience
  • Opportunity to make a genuine impact within a specialist setting

This is a highly rewarding opportunity to work within a supportive provision where staff are committed to helping young people overcome barriers and achieve success both academically and personally. Pink Tile Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
