Are you passionate about making a real difference to a young person's life? We are looking for Pupil Engagement Officers to join a supportive specialist school in Hastings, working one-to-one with a child with complex needs. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who can build positive relationships, promote engagement, and help a pupil thrive both academically and emotionally.
Whether you have experience in education or transferable skills from care, youth work, mental health, coaching or support work, we'd love to hear from you.
Transferable skills we're looking for:
- Experience supporting children, young people or vulnerable adults
- Positive behaviour management
- Calm, patient and resilient approach
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to motivate and engage young people
- Understanding of SEND, SEMH or complex needs (desirable)
- Team player with a proactive attitude
- Adaptable, empathetic and reliable
