Are you passionate about helping young children thrive in the classroom? We are looking for caring, patient and enthusiastic Primary SEND Teaching Assistants to join welcoming schools across the Crawley area from September. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children in Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them develop academically, socially and emotionally in a nurturing environment.

The Role

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional learning needs.
  • Support children with a range of SEND, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and other developmental needs.
  • Encourage pupils' confidence, independence and engagement in learning.
  • Help create a safe, positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Work closely with teachers and SEND staff to support individual learning plans and celebrate every achievement.

We're Looking For

  • A kind, patient and nurturing individual with a genuine passion for supporting young children.
  • Experience working with children is desirable, whether in schools, nurseries, childcare, clubs or other supportive settings.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to make a real difference every day.
