Pink Tile Education are recruiting for a SEMH Teaching Assistant to support a primary school in Hastings with pupils who need additional emotional and behavioural support. This specific Hastings primary school has children who may struggle with big emotions, transitions, friendship difficulties, low confidence, attachment needs or behaviour that can become challenging when they feel unsafe or overwhelmed.
You will be working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and pastoral team to help pupils regulate, follow routines and access learning. This Hastings Teaching Assistant role needs someone nurturing but not soft, calm but not passive, and patient enough to celebrate small wins.
The school would suit someone with experience in primary education, SEND, SEMH, nursery, care, family support, youth work or behaviour support. Temporary, permanent and temp-to-permanent opportunities are available.
