Are you confident supporting children and young people who may struggle within mainstream education? Pink Tile Education are recruiting for a Behaviour Support Assistant for a specialist school in Portsmouth from September 2026. This is a full-time, long-term role with the opportunity to move onto a permanent contract.
The setting supports pupils with:
- SEMH needs
- Autism
- ADHD
- Trauma-related behaviours
- Emotional regulation difficulties
The successful candidate will:
- Build positive professional relationships with pupils
- Support behaviour management strategies
- Encourage engagement within lessons
- Help pupils regulate emotions and access learning
- Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff
Experience within schools is beneficial, however candidates from:
- Residential support
- Youth work
- Sports coaching
- Care work
- Mental health support
