We are currently recruiting SEND Learning Support Assistants to work within a specialist school in Surbiton. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with a range of additional needs including Autism, ADHD, SEMH needs, communication difficulties, and complex learning needs within a nurturing and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students 1:1 and in small groups
- Assist with learning activities across the classroom
- Support communication, emotional regulation, and behaviour
- Encourage independence, engagement, and confidence
- Help maintain a safe, structured, and positive learning environment
- Work closely with teachers and wider school staff
We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable individuals (SEND experience desirable)
- A calm, patient, and supportive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for SEND education
- A proactive, flexible, and resilient attitude
Requirements:
- Right to work: You must have the right to work in the UK or hold a valid work visa.
- References and DBS: Provide suitable references for pre-employment checks and hold an enhanced DBS on the Children’s Workforce (or Children’s & Adults’) update service, or be willing to obtain one.
Pay includes 12.07% holiday pay.
