Pink Tile Education are working in partnership with a specialist Provision in the Littlehampton area, who are seeking a dedicated, resilient, and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join their team.
This provision supports children and young people aged 5β16, with a strong focus on Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 learners. Pupils are typically those who are unable to access mainstream education due to social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, anxiety, medical needs, emotional trauma, school refusal, or risk of exclusion.
The school provides a structured, nurturing, and supportive environment designed to help young people re-engage with learning, rebuild confidence, and develop positive relationships with education and staff. Many pupils require consistent emotional support alongside academic engagement throughout the school day.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting students both in and out of the classroom, helping them to regulate emotions, engage in learning, and access personalised learning pathways.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have experience working with children or young people with SEND, SEMH, or behavioural needs
- Be calm, patient, and resilient when working with challenging behaviour
- Be confident supporting pupils who may present with anxiety, emotional dysregulation, or refusal to engage
- Have strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Be proactive, supportive, and willing to get fully involved in school life
- Have experience in education, care, youth work, mentoring, residential care, or similar settings (desirable)
The school are also open to candidates with transferable skills from roles such as youth work, sports coaching, care work, mental health support, social care, or other people-focused environments where building relationships and supporting behaviour is key.

- Supporting KS3 and KS4 learners with core subjects and personalised pathways
- Working closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and external agencies
