We are looking for a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Littlehampton, supporting primary and secondary aged pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a supportive and structured environment.
You will be working with pupils who may present challenging behaviour, including both verbal and physical behaviours, so the school are looking for someone who is calm, patient and confident in their approach, with a strong understanding of behaviour support.
The role will begin through Pink Tile, with opportunities for temp to perm positions for the right candidate. The school would like candidates to attend a trial day before the end of term.
The Role:- Supporting pupils with SEMH needs on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Assisting with classroom activities and structured routines
- Building strong, positive relationships with pupils
- Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour management
- Encouraging engagement, confidence and independence
- Responding to challenging behaviour in a calm, consistent and proactive manner
- Working closely with teachers and the wider support team

- Pay: £93.62 – £105 per day (depending on experience)
