The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Be calm, patient, and resilient when working with challenging behaviour
  • Be confident supporting pupils who may present with anxiety, emotional dysregulation, or refusal to engage
  • Have strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Be proactive, supportive, and willing to get fully involved in school life
  • Have experience in education, care, youth work, mentoring, residential care, or similar settings (desirable)

The Role:

  • Supporting students aged 5–16 within an Alternative Provision setting
  • Assisting pupils with emotional regulation and engagement in learning
  • Supporting KS3 and KS4 learners with core subjects and personalised pathways
  • Working closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and external agencies
  • Encouraging positive behaviour, attendance, and engagement in education
  • Full-time position
  • £100 per day
  • Opportunity for long-term and temp-to-perm progression
