About the Role
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistants to join a supportive educational setting in Littlehampton. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people by helping them to access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other professionals to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of learning needs, including additional learning needs and social, emotional, or behavioural challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide in-class support to pupils, ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively
- Assist with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and learning strategies
- Support pupils on a one-to-one basis or in small groups
- Encourage positive behaviour, engagement, and independence
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and external professionals
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
- Support pupils’ social and emotional development
