Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging and well‑structured lessons across the KS2 curriculum
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching where necessary
  • Prepare pupils for end‑of‑key‑stage expectations, including SATs (where applicable)
  • Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment
  • Differentiating learning to support a range of abilities and needs
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and other staff members
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
  • At least 2 years’ experience teaching within KS2
  • Strong curriculum knowledge, particularly in English and Maths
  • Confident in managing behaviour and maintaining high expectations
  • A committed and adaptable approach to teaching
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
Desirable
  • Experience preparing pupils for SATs
  • Experience supporting children with SEND
  • A track record of raising attainment and supporting pupil progress
