This is a flexible supply teaching role, offering both day-to-day cover and longer-term placements within Key Stage 1. In daily supply, you will deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure continuity in learning. In long-term roles, you may take on full teaching responsibilities, including planning, marking, and assessment.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
- Follow lesson plans for daily cover or plan and assess work in long-term roles
- Maintain a positive and well-structured classroom environment
- Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
- Deliver phonics and core subject teaching effectively
- Differentiate learning to support a range of abilities, including SEND
- Work closely with teaching assistants and other staff members
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
- Experience teaching within Key Stage 1
- Strong knowledge of the UK primary curriculum
- Confident in delivering phonics, English, and Maths
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- A flexible, proactive, and reliable approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
- Experience with phonics schemes such as Read Write Inc. or Letters and Sounds
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND
- A track record of supporting pupil progress
