This is a full-time, long-term role with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll work alongside experienced teachers and therapeutic staff to support pupils with

Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs , helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support.
  • Supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
  • Building strong, trusting relationships with children and young people.
  • Helping pupils develop confidence, resilience and independence.
  • Supporting learning through creative and engaging activities.
  • Assisting with personalised learning plans and interventions.
  • Promoting a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment.
  • Working closely with teachers, therapists and families to support pupil progress.
  • Acting as a positive role model every day.

Essential Requirements

  • A genuine passion for supporting children and young people.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A patient and resilient approach to behaviour support.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Right to work in the UK.
