About the Role
This is a flexible supply position within Key Stage 1, offering a variety of opportunities ranging from day-to-day cover to longer-term placements. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, maintaining strong classroom routines, and supporting pupils with a range of learning and behavioural needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum (for longer-term placements)
- Follow lesson plans and ensure continuity of learning (for short-term/daily cover)
- Assess, monitor, and support pupil progress where required
- Differentiating teaching to meet a range of abilities, including pupils with SEND
- Maintain a structured, positive, and well-managed classroom environment
- Apply effective behaviour management strategies consistently
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and school staff
- Communicate effectively with staff and, where appropriate, parents and carers
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
- Experience teaching within Key Stage 1
- Strong knowledge of the UK primary curriculum
