Pastoral Teaching Assistant – Haywards Heath
Location: Haywards Heath
Pay: £14.25 to £16.40 per hour
Contract: Temporary, permanent and temp-to-perm
Start: As soon as possible or September
Responsibilities
- Support pupils with emotional regulation, friendships, routines, learning engagement and social skills.
- Assist pupils with SEMH needs, anxiety, autism, ADHD, trauma-related needs or additional learning needs.
- Provide classroom support, one‑to‑one work, small‑group support and work closely with pastoral staff.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in schools, care, youth work, mentoring, SEND, behaviour support, mental health support or coaching.
- Ability to build trust and maintain steady boundaries.
- Emotionally intelligent, calm, kind, consistent and resilient.
